This is the first English-language edition of Albert Einstein’s first popular treatment of relativity. This second edition was published in the first year as the first (First published August 1920, and this second edition September 1920).

An authorized translation by Robert W. Lawson, D.Sc. from the third German edition of 1918. A frontispiece portrait of the Author by German Artist Hermann Struck. With five diagrams, equations within the text, and with the third appendix on "The Experimental Confirmation of the General Theory of Relativity" being written by Einstein especially for this edition.

Published by Methuen And Co. LTD, London (1920). Publishers’ original red cloth with blind-stamped lettering and border to upper cover, Black lettering to spine.

Condition
Solid and well bound volume. Minor wear to boards’ corners, edges and head and foot of spine. The book is nice inside. Previous owner signature on top past down page. Toning and a little foxing to free end papers only, but text is bright and clear throughout (Please see pictures).
