Fezzan-Ghadames 1946: print proofs. Magnificent collection of fifteen print proofs in the colours adopted in imperforated cards with the inscriptions in the bottom right: 'Atelier De Fabrication Des Timbres - Poste Paris' and relating to the issue of 29 October 1946, Sassone 2020 catalogue nos. 1-15. The luxury proofs of the sheets and those of printing are rare and highly sought after, as also indicated on page 265 of the 2005 Encyclopedic Catalogue; it is no coincidence that the market prices (not in the catalogue) for a single card proof in the colour adopted are always quite high, about 100 euros each. In this case we are talking about a collection of fifteen proofs with an estimated market value/retail price of around €1,200-1,500. In addition, all the cards, to increase their value, are protected by the original protective transparent film; therefore, any wrinkles or creases visible in the photos are to be attributed to the optical effect of this film - all cards are perfect in reality.
