Piero Fornasetti (Milan, 10 November 1913 - Milan, 15 October 1988) was an Italian artist. Multifaceted and eclectic, he was endowed with an unstoppable creative flair that makes him one of the most prolific designers of the 20th century and difficult to trace back to a precise trend. Sculptor, painter, interior decorator, book printer and creator of more than 13,000 objects: his production is one of the largest of the 20th century. His aesthetic, guided by an immediately recognisable visual language, is full of colour, humour, mystery.
