Wiener Werkstätte postcard. The company opened in 1903 and closed in 1932. It was created by the architect JOSEF HOFFMANN and the art expert and banker FRITZ WARNDORFER as a new community to produce design objects with influences from art nouveau and classicism, which would then lead to PROTORATIONALISM.
This postcard belonged to our family. It is addressed by my great-great-grandfather Ferruccio to his beloved Ida. The postcard is circulated so it has signs of wear and tear, but considering its age.
