Flavius Josephus - 1486

'Antiquities of the Jews' is an important and extensive history of the Jewish people. It follows the historical books of the Hebrew Bible, from the history of the Jewish people to the Jewish War or the First Jewish-Roman War from 66 to 73 AD.
A valuable source for historians who wish to understand Judaism of the first century AD and the early Christian period. It also offers a source for historians about the history and antiquity of ancient Palestine, second only to the Bible.

This work contains valuable information about the religious movements of Judaism in the 1st century, such as the Essenes, the Pharisees and the Zealots.
Titus Flavius Iosephus born Yosef ben Matityahu, Jerusalem, 37-38 – Rome, 100), was a Roman writer, historian, politician and military of Jewish origin. He wrote almost all of his works in Greek.
