Hermann is one of the only authors capable of illustrating westerns or other adventures by capturing the most realistic attitudes, sometimes without any ‘graphic benevolence’, contrary to what ‘Le Journal de Tintin’ asked in the early years.
This original composition by Hermann demonstrates once again that the Grand Prix of Angoulême is one of the great masters of illustration, especially in its covers and silkscreen printings and bookplates, which made him famous across Europe.
This illustration could have been used for the theme of a confidential bookplate.
While nowadays all collectors are looking for original artworks by Hermann to enrich their collection, this artwork is undoubtedly an ideal opportunity to enhance a collection of this author.
