In this series, Hermann returned to the westerns where he began his career, that evolved amongst the Tintin Journal artists.
What could be better for any collection that a pencil-drawn A4 illustration to frame next to this large format colour plate from this luxury print.
This plate of the album is very special. This is one of the last plate of the album DUKE N°1, with a remarkable graphic atmosphere for this drama in the snow....
Please note that there is a small diagonal fold mark on the plate of sketches which will have to be mitigated with an iron (electric rather than ‘steam’.
This lot is therefore offered with a page (folded in half) from the large size album in colour of the first volume of this series, from an ‘Artist’s Proof’ copy.
