James 1st manuscript vellum Exemplification dated 1618 regarding tenements & lands in Hoswell and Pyrford in the County of Surrey.
The indenture is in very good condition, it has been folded with creases to the folds, some soiling to right side margin/manuscript area, not affecting the legibility, remnants of the Royal seal of James 1st still attached. The slit to the vellum is as issued, so that the seal could be protected.
Scarce James 1st exemplification with remnants of the Royal Seal.
A exemplification is a formal copy of a deed, normally issued with a seal of court; most commonly a common recovery, but sometimes a fine.
