Jean Sidobre, also known as G. Lévis and Georges Lévis (1924-1988), was a French cartoonist and comic books writer. He first illustrated many books for young people under his real name (including the adventures of ‘Le Club des Cinq’ in France in the 1960s and 1970s) before devoting himself to erotic works under the pseudonym G. Lévis.
He participated in the magazine Charlie Mensuel from 1983 to 1985 under the name Levis.
For the British magazine ‘Princess Tina’, he illustrated ‘My chum Yum Yum’, a little Chinese girl from Hong Kong, adopted by British parents, who causes disasters which she tries to fix thanks to her mischievous mind.
The stroke of Jean Sidobre is particularly elegant and yet very sensual, his virtuosity and his mastery graphic are remarkable.
