Charming pair of bedside tables from the 1940s/40s, made in Italy, and hand-painted by Italian artist Delia Sforza.

Hand-painted with watercolours after a professional preparation.

Made by Italian cabinetmakers of that time, by using various fine woods.
Knob in brass and golden painted Bakelite.
With black aniline painted feet.

Each cabinet has a door, a wide inner compartment with a shelf, an inner top drawer and an upstand on the back edge.

In excellent condition, with normal signs of ageing.

Delia Sforza studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari in 2004, and is currently a professor of Pictorial Disciplines.

In 2004 she was one of the selected artists who exhibited at the 2004 Premio Nazionale delle Arti Visive, held at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Rome.

Her artworks can be seen in private collections and museums in Italy and abroad.
