Undoubtedly, the collector who manages to add to his collection this exceptional A4 page of sketches drawn by Franquin will be able give it a place of honour in a frame of his choice...
This is a creative artwork drawn by Franquin in 1990 for one of the last panels of the album titled ‘Fordlandia’ inked by Batem.
Final scene of the album, featuring Noah (bowler hat) who finally finds Mars (The Black Marsupilami) and throw themselves into each other's arms, while Rosannah Roquette finds herself in the arms of Croesus....
All Franquin's artwork for this seventh panel is detailed on the left, with the two hugging attitudes, schematic, with the MARSUPILAMIE drawn in pencil, between the two scenes....
On the right-hand side, all Franquin's artwork for the characters sketches:
‘CHEEK TO CHEEK’.
Graphic genius, a talent for observing animal attitudes and to give them easily identifiable attitudes... and years of work ... which allowed Franquin to leave this beautiful creative work made by the leader of the ‘Spirou’ school for the pleasure of collectors.
We also include a copy in colours of this last page of the album, to facilitate an artistic presentation in the beautiful frame this scene urgently deserves....
The last two illustrations of the album were found on the internet.
