+- A volume by La Fondazione 'Centro di studi storico letterari Natalino Sapegno onlus' The Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Morgex (Valle d'Aosta), organized an exhibition of 80 original plates by Giorgio Cavazzano, from 26 July to 6 September 2014. Cavazzano is a famous Italian cartoonist, known to the public thanks to his Disney drawings. He entered the Disney world in 1962 and ended up being an important part of it. Later he drew many other famous comics characters, such as Dylan Dog, Martin Mystère, Diabolik, Ken Parker, Lupo Alberto, etc. He created as well Capitan Rogers and his rangers, Altai & Jonson, Walkie & Talkie... Giorgio Cavazzano is an artist capable of continuously renewing himself and bringing his ironic and funny look into his artworks (already a “classic” today). His unmistakable hand “wrote” a page of the history of comic books. This exhibition certainly does not claim to be an exhaustive, let alone a definitive portrayal of his rich production. It rather aims to suggest a path inside his creativity, already rooted in the collective memory and emotions of millions of readers. The words written by Italo Calvino in his volume Perché leggere i classici perfectly suit Giorgio Cavazzano: "Every time we read a classic, we read it and discover it for the very first time”. We wish every reader an unforgettable immersion into the Cavazzano Universe.
