The first edition of Dalí's luxurious cooking book, Les Diners de Gala, published by Editorial Labor in 1973. It is divided into 12 chapter with 136 recipes compiled by the painter and his wife Gala, which come from some of the best restaurants of Paris at that time, like Lasserre, the Tour d'Argent, Maxim's and Le Train Bleu. Sumptuous Dalí illustrations and photographs of the painter posing next to tables loaded with banquet food are also presented.
A dream come true for the Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, at the age of 6 he affirmed that he wanted to be chef.
