Parallel rolling rule used to plot direction on nautical charts, made of brass and boxwood. Crafted in England, circa 1940. The rule was coloured black so as not to reflect the light. In very good condition with no scratches.
Complete with original wooden box where it is still possible to read the inscription reading: “Patt. 160100 Paralell Rolling Rule” The hinges of the box are all present and working. The box is in good condition, with only one scratch on the interior (see last photo).
A brass compass marked HELIX REG D MADE IN ENGLAND and a two-pronged steel divider are supplied. Both items are in good condition.
The wooden box measures 48 cm in length and 12 cm in width. Overall weight: 1.6 kg.
