Artist's portfolio with advertising works 1950s.
Partly mounted, partly loosely inserted, mostly original drawings and watercolour paintings. All designs for shops and businesses in Berlin. Partly hinged and in good condition.
In an unadorned artist's portfolio (49 x 38 cm), which is slightly marginally torn and with brown stain on the back. This doesn`t affect the drawings.
Franz Junge born 1917 in Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen, died 2020 in Berlin grew up in the landscape around Worpswede where he came into contact with the artists of the artists' colony there. From 1941-42 he learned elementary drawing at night school at the master school for graphic arts and book trade. 1944-48 Studies in the studio of Moritz Melzer, expressionist and member of the New Secession as well as the November Group, teacher at the Reimann School. 1949-50 Studies at the HfbK Berlin with Professor H. Orlowski, Professor R. Bednarczik and Professor Schlameus. Since 1950 participation in numerous group exhibitions, such as the Freie Berliner Kunstausstellung FBK, as well as solo exhibitions in Berlin-Neukölln (1951), Dürener Tor of the city of Niddegen (1981), at the Centre Francais de Wedding in Berlin (1989), at the Galerie Schneider Berlin (1996 and 1997) and in Storkow, among others. Died in Berlin at the age of over 90.
