Made with great mastery, Art Deco period in the style of the Frenchman Louis Icart.

Guillem Perés i Paque was a Catalan draughtsman (Barcelona 1893 - 1968). He was the son of the modernist intellectual Ramón D. Perés, he used the name Billy, since it was the diminutive of his name in English name, his mother’s language. He illustrated the story of Hans Christian Andersen PathCompanion, in the 1909 edition of L'Avenç, and then he became one of the most prominent cartoonists in the children’s magazine La Rondalla del Dijous". In these works he showed himself as a delicate epigon of modernism, with an obvious influence from Aubrey Beardsley. He later continued his work as a literary illustrator, but also as an advertising company, in Barcelona and London, where he settled between c.1924 and 1941.
