Beatles - Something New Gold Record Disc To John and Paul - Officiële RIAA award - 1964/1964
Number of items: 1 - Excellent (EX)

Super rare presented to the writers duo Lennon/McCartney ( kept in plastic so in perfect condition) with a metal LP and special publishers award so for Lennon and McCartney as Publishers of Northern Songs!! Although it says on the back NOT FOR TOWER DISPLAY, it has hung in the Capitol building anyhow, perhaps after the Publishing period. It has the typical Gold Metal Record in it, so a beautiful original Usa Award.

Northern Songs Ltd was a limited company founded in 1963, by music publisher Dick James, artist manager Brian Epstein, and songwriters John Lennon and Paul McCartney of the Beatles to publish songs written by Lennon and McCartney.

The album is the third Capitol LP release and fifth American album release overall by the band, following the United Artists release of A Hard Day's Night The album includes eight songs from the original British release of A Hard Day's Night, as well as the tracks "Slow Down" and "Matchbox" from the Long Tall Sally EP and the German-language version of "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
The album spent nine weeks at No. 2 on the Billboard Top LPs chart in 1964, behind the United Artists A Hard Day's Night album
