Rare with the original preserved cover illustrated, with a second state of the composition of the cover in frontispiece title.
The year 1874 is drawn on vellum, and is decorated with 9 plates out of text. The illustrations also include a large number of coats of arms engraved in-text. In total more than 420 noble families are contained in this volume, a good part of which are accompanied by the coat of arms.
The year 1875 drawn on current paper, mentioning more than 800 noble families, also adorned with many coats of arms in text.
Binding signed by “Thierry Succ. de Petit-Simier” executed in green half-morocco with corners with ribbed spine decorated with the titling with golden letters. Gilded top edge.

Nice copy, solid and decorative binding, the leather is a little rubbed on the headdresses and corners. Crisp and clean inside. Ex heraldic libris unidentified.
